4 Rejoice in the Lord always [delight, take pleasure in Him]; again I will say, rejoice! 5 Let your gentle spirit [your graciousness, unselfishness, mercy, tolerance, and patience] be known to all people. The Lord is near. 6 Do not be anxious or worried about anything, but in everything [every circumstance and situation] by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, continue to make your [specific] requests known to God. 7 And the peace of God [that peace which reassures the heart, that peace] which transcends all understanding, [that peace which] stands guard over your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus [is yours].(AMP).
How to pray for ourselves, bullies, and those who are bullied
Now Let’s learn how to pray
We want to ask God to remove the blemishes and wrinkles from our hearts and the hearts of others. Sometimes we don’t need to say anything to anyone besides the Lord. You have power to change what you see around you through prayer.
Philippines 4:6-7 tell us not to worry. But through prayer and supplication make your request known until the Lord.
Write out some of your concerns or worries you have for other people you want to pray for
Next, make a list of things they are thankful for from God.
Lastly, write out the actual request you would like from God.
We know that when we pray per the scriptures that he hears us.
Confidence and Compassion in Prayer
1 John 5:14-16 Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. 15 And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him. New King James Version (NKJV)
Now we can receive peace in our own hearts. Encourage them to ask God to help them share how to pray for peace to their friends.
How to pray for someone being bullied:
Use these scriptures to write out personal prayers using the model from above:
1 Peter 5:6-8 “Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, 7 casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you”
New King James Version (NKJV)
Psalms 147: “He heals the brokenhearted, And binds up their wounds [healing their pain and comforting their sorrow]” (amp)
Proverbs 3:5-“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not to your own understanding: In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths”. New King James Version (NKJV)
We should encourage girls to learn the comforting power of the Holy Spirit. Our souls can hurt so bad sometimes but, the above scriptures show that Jesus cares about our mind, will and emotions. We must come to him first.
Praying for Bullies:
We want to pray that one day they will know the lover of their soul and come to know Jesus Christ for themselves. A lot of times they are hurting too.
Go over the scriptures where Jesus tells us to forgive our enemies. Use these Scriptures and the format from above to create a prayer for bullies.
Ephesians 4:32 – And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.
Matthew 5:44 – But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
Luke 6:27 – But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you,
John 15:12 – This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.
